Day 14: Pencil Skirt Fail

In my mind I was totally bringing it for you today, peeps. I was like, HEELS? CHECK.

Pencil skirt? CHECK.

But things got lost a little on that shirt, methinks. I'll try to do better tomorrow.

Day 12: Hunter Boots. Cuz I'm the Real Estate Huntress, yo!

My mom got me these amazing black Hunter wellies for Christmas this year and I LOVE them. I wear them alot. Today when I got dressed I checked my iphone and it said, "Rain" so I thought, "Hooray! Wearing the wellies!" It didn't rain, but I don't care. Love them.

Day 10: Night and Day!

So Yesterday I was jumping on my dear friends' trampoline with my 6 year old niece and didn't get a shot of my outfit, but really- it was a day off- so you can't fault me for skipping. For this reason, I am giving you my two contrasting outfits from today! The first picture is from this morning, getting my america's next top model on at Glam That Gives, the YWCA's fundraiser. It was incredibly fun to hang out with hundreds of awesome ladies and get my hair done all fancy and help raise money for a great cause.

This next shot is 45 minutes after the fundraiser ended, painting my friend Rochelle's new house before she moves in next week. The color is very bold. As are my favorite pair of painting jeans. It felt very strange to have my hair and makeup all fancy and paint a house- but in a good way!

Day 8: Skydiving With the Realtors!!

Sorry it's a scoche blurry, but you get the idea. Jumpsuits and harnesses were all the rage today! I went skydiving this morning with some Keller Williams agents and it was fun! But now I'm at the office at 5:30pm on a Friday... ah well, tradeoffs!

Day 7: I Call This One "Intrepid Reporter"

Whenever I wear these pants I feel like Lois Lane, especially when I tuck in my shirt and wear a belt. Like I'm about to investigate something. Today I plan to investigate a couple of Condos Downtown and do some blogging and filing at my desk. Yeah. Intrepid.

Day 6: Last Time I Wore This Top Was For A Britney Spears Concert

I am hearing that I could be bringing it a bit more. The jeans were a laundry based neccesity this morning, but the top is from the back of the closet. The last time I wore this baby was Britney Spears' Circus Tour at the Tacoma Dome, which was like 2 years ago. Let us all remember the glory that was the circus tour...shall we?

Day 5: Is it Hot Outside or is it Just My Tshirt Dress?

HOORAY! It is SUNNY OUTSIDE! And hot, too! While this is good news, I did realize getting dressed this morning that my hot weather outfit options are decidedly un-Realtory, but I did my best. I think this dress was made for Kindergarten Teachers, but I'm doing my best to rock it.

Day 3: Community Service Day Chic

My my my, aren't YOU ALL being so honest with your feedback. Good thing I read all those self esteem books! Well, it's not all POWERSUITS and SPIKE HEELS, People! Today is Windermere Professional Partners Community Service Day and my look is set to sweat. Workout pants, cotton tshirt (FROM ROSS DRESS FOR LESS!) and Silver Sneakers as my piece of flair. Rake accessory.

So I get a pass today because it's Community Service Day, but I hear you loud and clear (the turtlenecks suck, I get it!) and I will be stepping it up next week, ya'all!

Day 2 Realtor Outfit: Doesn't This Jacket Inspire Total Trust and Confidence?

When I first got my Real Estate License back in 2005, I was very worried that I didn't LOOK like a Realtor. I had been working as a commercial carpenter for a year, and frankly, was looking a bit burly. My theory back then was that if I had some BIG JEWELRY and a few BOLD LONG JACKETS- people would KNOW I was a Realtor! They would assume I knew what I was talking about!

Nowadays, I DO know what I'm talking about and I have experience and confidence, but I notice that whenever I'm meeting someone new, wanting to project confidence, or distract from the fact that I'm wearing jeans- I bust out the big jewelry and the long bold jacket.

Day 1 Realtor Outfit: Comfortable Stripes?

OK. I admit it. When I got dressed this morning I knew these stripes probably shouldn't be combined. But it was cold. I was going to be in the office. I didn't know I would start a Realtor Outfit blog today.

Wait. Is there an issue with my Realtor outfits?

Last week I had the honor of being on the cover of the Weekly Volcano for their "Sexiest" issue as "Sexiest Realtor" which was obviously flattering and awesome. Shortly after it dropped, someone looked at my outfit (jeans and a turtleneck) and said, "You don't dress very sexy. You better start dressing better." Really?

I shared that on Facebook to find out if I really do have a dressing issue and discovered in the comments that (strangely enough) people do have opinions about my Realtor Outfits. It is true that I've never rocked the Red Power Suits and Leopard blazers more customary in my line of work. I've told myself (perhaps deluded myself) that I'm a different kind of agent and I have my own style. Perhaps I am mistaken.

So I am launching this blog. It will be 30 days of my Realtor Outfits for you to rate and comment. See those stars? That's the rating system. Let's do this.
